This section will hold the operational runbooks that follow from the target architecture.

What this page will cover next​

As the later deliverables are drafted, this page should expand into:

  • deployment runbooks for web, API, and worker services
  • rollback procedures by environment
  • incident triage steps
  • backup and restore checks
  • routine platform operations for the SPWHI team

Current reference point​

Until the full runbooks are added, use the Architecture page as the source of truth for:

  • target environment model
  • Terraform repo boundaries
  • GitHub Actions OIDC guidance
  • baseline platform decisions for EKS, RDS, S3, and CloudFront

Operating principle​

Every future runbook should be written for an engineer who is capable, but not yet deeply specialized in platform engineering. That means:

  • fewer hidden assumptions
  • exact command or workflow references
  • clear rollback points
  • explicit ownership of each step
